This is the testing bed of Remasterdam. If you read this you're either in on it or you've used a directory traversal attack. It's fine either way. This page is used to test different stuff behind the scenes.
Design Notes: Thematic Underpinning
There is a strong theming binding all the Remasterdam artspots together. Each of the artspots provides a peak into an alternative world, which has been crystalized for the past ten years or something like that. (Or perhaps for the whole life of the author/artist, depending on how you look at it) Though it might not be all that obvious at first glance, each and every artwork reaches back to that exact same realm, while also combining it with the real world.
At the center of this universe is Cassandra Cortes (pictured above), an interdimensional traveler stuck in a time/space/deathloop, desperately trying to find an exit out of it. At the center of this transdimensional anomaly is Atlantis, an ancient temple complex with portals and gateways towards a variety of lands. Though these realms are vast and potentially endless, their numbers and names* are fixed. There are seven main realms to be found from Atlantis that can encompass all themes. (*Most names find their root in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs. Some of these names are very unlikely to change, though it might still happen to one or two. Creative process y'all...)

Apart from the first and the last realms none of them are in a particular order. Let's go through them one by one shall we?

Atlantis
An interdimensional gateway, that's in history's blind spot. Leads to all of the other realms and also back to our world. Dark secrets are to be found in the deepest parts.

Key theming:
Transit, Ruins, Oceanic, Hidden

Tenochtitlan
Tenochtitlan is a sprawling industrialized citystate. Both high-tech and very densely populated. The air is dense and poisonous and life has adapted poorly to these circumstances. Despite all this, technological advances never seem to stop and space travel is possible

Key theming:
Industry, Technology, Overpopulation, Pollution, Space

Cuahuitl
Cuahuitl is a wilderness, sprawling with wildlife and ancient forests and jungles. It is challenging to gain a foothold here, but eventually is more forgiving and calming than most of the other realms.
Key theming:
Nature, Life, Wanderlust, Freedom, Resilience

Milonga
Another endless citystate, with a far more contemporary and relaxed feel than the other ones. Milonga is all about celebration, enjoying life and each other in the backdrop of a bizarre architecture.
Key theming:
Dance, Music, People, Celebration, Urbanism, Melancholy

Huecahua
At the core this is a giant time-traveling device, hidden in a frozen city, in a wilderness of glaciers. Nothing will move here unless mandated otherwise. Creatures trapped in here will stay there, probably forever. Does glitch every now and then.
Key theming:
Time travel, Apathy, Ice, Rigidness, Freezing

Comonqui
The realm of holy spite. Guarded by dogmatic angels, at Comonqui's center is a gigantic pillar of light. All deemed worthy may proceed. Anyone with dark intent will be driven away. Many wars have sparked from here to protect Comonqui from the enemies of Comonqui.

Key theming:
Vengeance, Order, Light, War, Hubris

Ammocualli
The underworld. Innocence or guilt matters not, because everybody suffers equally, including the demons that maintain this realm. Escape is extremely difficult, not quite impossible.

Key theming:
Suffering, Anxiety, Torment, Labyrinth

Cobra
The wasteland of the great devourer. Cobra was foretold to end everything else. Resides in Valle de Los Muertos. Awakening this creature is extremely difficult and rightfully so. Nobody should be stupid enough to do so, right?

Key theming:
End Times, Darkness, Black Hole, Desert, Death
